Recording the past

Archaeologists from BaRAS have been uncovering and recording the historical legacy of the City of Bristol and its surrounding areas for over thirty years. The records they have amassed in that time encompass many historical periods, from the prehistoric through to medieval times and beyond. You can use the map opposite—and its controls below—to pinpoint the locations for some of the archaeological sites and finds of interest, and learn something of their history.
